On a Sunday in the month of May, l'Ampolla celebrates its gastronomic day around the oyster cuisine, a contest that is already a benchmark for the cuisine of the Ebro Delta. Throughout this day, the fishing port of the town is filled with visitors who taste the nearly 2,500 kilos of oysters that are shared with a glass of cava sparkling wine. The day also offers the possibility of learning to cook this fruit of the sea, as well as enjoy the most original recipes that the guild of restoration of l'Ampolla prepares for the occasion. The `Diada de l'Ostra´ is the beginning of the Gastronomic Days of the village, that continue until the month of June.
