From November to February, the Tierras del Ebro olive oil cooperatives welcome the first olive oil of the season with a series of festive celebrations that include popular lunches as well as exhibitions and debates, open doors days and the presentation, tasting and sale of the new oil. A good example of all these activities are the oil fairs that are celebrated in some towns of these regions - La Fatarella, Godall, Santa Bàrbara, Jesús or Bot -, and which have become a meeting and paty point around this golden liquid so representative of the Mediterranean gastronomy.
The Oil Festival of La Fatarella takes place the first fortnight of December.
