The market of Tortosa is of eclectic style and in its construction participated Joan Torras i Guardiola, known as the "Catalan Eiffel". It was built in the old bed of the Ebro river, between 1884 and 1887. It is a piece of great interest within the eclectic Catalonian architecture.
