The La Carrova Archaeological Park, located next to the axis of the Ebro (C-12), allows visiting in a single spot two important monuments of the “Terres de l'Ebre” region. In first placce, the remains of an important Roman villa that was active between the 1st century B.C. and the 5th century A.D., as an example of rural settlements of ancient times in the final section of the Ebro river. The visit allows discovering the working area of the settlement, specialized in fishing. On the other hand, a majestic watchtower dating from the 14th century and was, until the 19th century, an agricultural farm of the Cistercian monks of Benifassà.
Restored and enabled for the visit, from it offers from its roof offers a magnificent view of the river and its valley.
