Molí de Rafelet
Don Rafael Margalef Bertomeu, in the years 1935-1940 built a wooden rice mill, with the distinctive "Collit Pròpia". Although long before, about the year 1910, his father Don Rafael Margalef Torta, already was dedicated to the culture and elaboration of rice, of totally artisan form.
The brothers Rafael and Teresa Margalef, the third generation, have preserved the mill and the same production process, to produce artisanal rice, with exceptional culinary properties.
It is currently the only artisan, family and wooden mill in the Ebro Delta with a process of artisanal and traditional production.
Thanks to the effort of Rafael Margalef Bertomeu in the conservation and maintenance of the wooden mill and all its machinery in operation, the Molí de Rafelet, has been awarded in July 2008, as "Museum of Rafelet rice ".
