SOLDEBRE has centuries-old roots despite its youth (1995), as it comes from the Cooperative of Santiago de Tortosa founded in the early twentieth century (1910) being the first cooperative in Terres de l’Ebre. Its members mostly come from the Baix Ebre region, although there are also members from Montsià.
The citrus section is one of the sections that has experienced the greatest growth in recent years. A new citrus handling plant was built in 2008 and has a processing capacity of 25 tons / hour. The citrus section currently has more than 600 hectares of clementines and mandarins of all varieties, with a predominance of the Clemenules variety, and 200 hectares of orange trees. Of these 800 hectares of citrus cultivation, SOLDEBRE directly manages more than 150 hectares of clementines and 70 hectares of orange trees, carrying out all the
necessary tasks with qualified personnel of the entity. All crop fields carry out integrated struggle. SOLDEBRE from its birth, created the ADV (Association of Plant Defense) not to attack and try to protect the environment as much as possible.
