Itinerari La Cova Roja

On the first stretch of the route we follow the Barranc de la Roja that only carries water in autumn after heavy spells of rain. Later, we go through sparse black pine forests with trees with huge dimensions. This is particularly due to the effects of forest fires. Fires have eliminated all but part of the shrub vegetation and the narrow trees, whilst the thicker trees have been able to resist the onslaught of flames. From the high part of the route, one can make out the Foradat bridge, located in the Tinença de Benifassà Natural Park.
