Itinerari Pla de l'Hedra
The journey takes us to a landscape that dominated the land in Els Ports until the mid-20th century. What is now a pine forest of huge dimensions was then an intensely inhabited area. There were plenty of cultivated terraces, inhabited country houses, pens for keeping herds of animals and huts in which farmers sought refuge.
Currently, many of these constructions are in ruins, but the stone walls and terraces that still stand show us the great importance of activities that used to be carried out in this area. On the other hand, this lack of activity has hugely benefited the restoration of the forest .
