Ruta fluvial Los Garxals
The end is here. We can now enjoy the moment a great tongue of fresh water enters the sea in a fantastic natural environment - undoubtedly one of the most attractive areas of the Delta for canoeing. After giving life, the Ebro dies here. In an idyllic area surrounded by wild vegetation and accompanied by birds.
Our father the Ebro, fair and even-handed at all times. First, he opens up gorges towards the south in the direction of the l’Eucaliptus. Later, in Migjorn and the centre, with the River Vell forming the Cape of Tortosa. Afterwards, to the north, through La Garganta de Sorrapa, forming the island of Sant Antoni and the Garxal lagoon. Garxal, made up of a beautiful group of small islands and lagoons, is a real gem for those interested in aquatic life and ornithology as it offers a great variety of aquatic bird species.
